Event description

Description

The mental health and wellbeing of young people has never been more under scrutiny and is a matter of concern for many parents.

Increasingly parents are asking for support in helping their children with issues around stress and anxiety, particularly at times of pressure such as exam season or when there are changes happening in a child’s life.

Run by highly experienced facilitators, counsellors and parenting practitioners, this workshop will help parents to understand:

  • The science of stress and anxiety
  • Why appropriate stress can help us
  • When does stress and/or anxiety become a problem
  • Preventing stress from buildng up
  • Responding to a stressed or anxious child

The Supporting Links ethos is not simply to impart information by Powerpoint, but to enable parents to learn valuable skills that will help them to support their children. Our emphasis is on helping parents to use new knowledge and strategies within their own families and, thereby, support their anxious child.

The workshop session is on Tuesday, 3rd December and will take place in The Upper Common Room. It will begin promptly at 6.30pm.

This workshop costs £15 per person.

Please note that the payment is due on completion of this registration, is non-transferable and non-refundable regardless of the attendance.

There are a limited number of places which are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Supporting Links is an independent company.

To ask a question or for more information contact Noushin Rahman-Blake, Supporting Links on 01442 300185 or email info@supportinglinks.co.uk.
