Event description
Learn how to support your child of 8+ with worries about disrupted learning, friendships and a changed way of life for some time to come...

About this Event

"I just wanted to say thanks. I’ve attended the stress and motivation workshops and I have found them to be so incredibly helpful in my interactions with my child!"

The mental health and well being of young people has never been under more scrutiny and is a matter of concern for many parents.

Increasingly parents are asking for support in helping their children with issues around stress and anxiety, particularly at times of pressure such as exam season or when there are changes happening in a child’s life. This has never been more important than in these unsettled times.

Run by highly experienced facilitators, counsellors and parenting practitioners, this workshop will help parents to understand:

  • The science of stress and anxiety
  • Why appropriate stress can help us
  • When does stress and/or anxiety become a problem
  • Preventing stress from building up
  • Responding to a stressed or anxious child

The Supporting Links ethos is not simply to impart information by Powerpoint, but to enable parents to learn valuable skills that will help them to support their children. Our emphasis is on helping parents to use new knowledge and strategies within their own families and, thereby, support their anxious child.

The workshop will take place via Zoom and will incorporate a Q&A session at the end of each session.

The workshop consists of two 90 minute sessions to be held on Tuesdays 16th & 23rd March, from 7.30pm to 9pm UK time, and will take place online using Zoom.

This workshop is suitable for parents and carers of children from age 8+

The cost of attending this two session workshop is £24 per person and is open to all parents and carers.

Please note that the payment is due on completion of this registration, is and non-refundable regardless of attendance. Should you wish to pass your ticket onto someone else, please let us know by emailing info@supportinglinks.co.uk so that we can ensure they will be let in.

We offer a limited number of subsidised places for parents/carers in receipt of Universal Credit. Please contact us for details.

There are a limited number of places which are offered on a first come, first served basis.
