Event description
Hear from Tom Arthur MSP, Charlotte Barbour and Gemma Tetlow as the Scottish Government launches a Framework for Tax

About this event

Let’s talk about tax. As we continue to recover from the pandemic, we need to continue the conversation about tax policy and how we use our devolved tax powers to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

The Scottish Government will be launching a Framework for Tax, as part of work to embed a more strategic approach to tax policy making. This event will provide a timely opportunity to consider the current context within which that Framework will sit, and to look forward across the new Scottish Parliamentary session.

To mark the launch of the draft Scottish Government Framework, we will be hosting an interactive webinar with Tom Arthur MSP, the Minister for Public Finance, Planning and Community Wealth, alongside tax and economy experts Charlotte Barbour and Gemma Tetlow, to discuss what policy makers today can learn from the past when it comes setting tax policy, and how we make better tax policy in the future. The event will be chaired by Lucy O'Carroll, the Scottish Government's Director of Tax.

Viewers will be able to submit questions to the panel before and during the event.

Please email taxdivisionevents@gov.scot if you have any questions about the event or to submit a question to the panel before the event.
