Event Description

Join us for this one-hour workshop designed to help parents and carers improve conversations with their tweens and teens. You'll gain insights into why communication can feel tricky at this stage, and learn simple, effective ways to listen and be heard - without every chat turning into an argument.

What to Expect

  • Why Communication Changes in the Teen Years: Understand the developmental shifts that can make conversations more challenging.
  • Building Connection Through Conversation: Ways to build trust so your child is more likely to open up.
  • Listening So They'll Talk: Practical tips for showing you hear them (even if you don't agree!).
  • Navigating Difficult Topics: How to discuss sensitive subjects without shutting the conversation down.

Benefits of Attending

  • Greater confidence in communicating with your tween or teen
  • Techniques to encourage more open and honest conversations
  • Better understanding of how to respond during tricky moments
  • A supportive space to connect with other parents and carers
