A presentation by our expert printer and much loved tour guide who knows printing inside out, from the history to working practice. Printing has been Peter Balding's career from beginnings as a compositor to print management and now long term volunteer at Frogmore. This talk examines the life and work of Johannes Gutenberg, who developed metal moveable type which enabled the rapid spread of ideas and with paper production revolutionised communication.

The ticket price includes tea and coffee and a Fish and Chip supper.

Access requirements

There is one flight of stairs to the Tudor Room and no lift.

Parking is in the shared Cottage/Paper Mill Pub car park. Car drivers can register their car number at the start fo the talk.
