An Exhibition of Display Boards, and Handmade Banners and Pendants, made by the Community.

Commemorating the Bicentenary of Peterloo, Tameside Remembers Peterloo tells the story of the People of Tameside and how they were involved in Peterloo.

Joseph Whitworth of Gee Cross, Hyde, was one of those killed, discover where he is buried.

At least 39 local people were injured, some from Droylsden, find out who they were.

Stalybridge Band were booked to play at the event, and were forced to retreat.

Two people from Mossley were witnesses at the Trial of Henry Hunt.

In addition Hanging Banners made by Mitch Robinson are already on display in the Atrium of the Local Studies Library in Ashton-under-Lyne.

There will also be a Commemorative Book on sale - entitled Tameside Remembers Peterloo.

The book will be on Sale on at Tameside Libraries from Easter 2019.

Opening Hours of the Local Studies Library are:

Tuesday: 10am - 5pm
Wednesday: 10am - 5pm
Thursday: 10am - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 1pm
