Tamesis Launch Reception

Welcome to the Tamesis Launch Reception! Join us for an exciting evening on board HMS Wellington as we celebrate the launch of Ed's collection of poetry about the River Thames and the lifeboats that operate on it.

A lifeboat volunteer for more than twenty years, Ed has written poetry and built a collection of verse about the river, its history, its mooods, and the adventures of serving on a busy lifeboat.

Enjoy a glass of prosecco and a magificent view of the Thames, and a reading of some of the poems (some outdoors if weather permits). The event will also launch the incredible illustrations by Army veteran, Gary Partridge.

A pay bar will be available and the evening looks set to be an exciting night of art, poetry and stories about lifeboats, life on the river, and the role of the Thames in all of our lives.

Published by Chiselbury press, the ticket price includes a signed hardback copy of the illustrated book.
