About this event

Join me for a fun Zentangle™️ workshop, Tangle Tango, where we will learn to dance with patterns. This workshop is designed to spark your creativity and calm your mind. Learn the art of morphing, weaving, and blending tangles to create seamless, flowing designs. This workshop will dive into one of the most common questions asked in my Facebook group, Tangletastic: "How do I join tangles together?"

During this 2-hour interactive session, you’ll explore various techniques to transition smoothly between different Zentangle patterns. You'll discover the magic of interconnected designs. Whether you’re a beginner or have been tangling for a while, this workshop will spark some new ideas and inspire your artistic journey.

All you need is some white tiles/paper, a black pen, a graphite pencil and a tortillon (paper blending stump). Other than that, just bring your enthusiasm and let’s tangle together! Spaces are limited, so secure your spot today and take your Zentangle practice to the next level.

NB. If you're in the South Ayrshire, Scotland, area, join me live for a cosy session (limited to 4 spaces) where we'll explore these techniques together. Email me at ruby@rubymcguire.com for info.

Please note: The tile shared in the comments is for illustrative purposes only. The actual tile we will create during the workshop will be unique, offering similar creative possibilities.

PS. Bring a friend and get a £10 gift voucher for another workshop. Use the voucher for yourself, or gift it to your friend for this workshop. Drop me a message at ruby@rubymcguire.com to get a special code.

Frequently asked questions

What is Zentangle?

It's a meditative art form using structured patterns. You can find out more about it on my blog, here - http://bit.ly/ZWot

Do I need to have done Zentangle before?

It would be better if you had done a beginner workshop. However, I will teach you some structured patterns step-by-step so you can learn this method with no prior experience.

Do I need special supplies?

The tangles in this class are worked on white card aka tiles, using a black fine liner pen, a graphite pencil and a tortillon (paper blending stump) . However, if you don't have these supplies, you can still join using a black pen and some paper, learn the method and play later.

Will there be a replay if I can't make it live?

Yes, this workshop is recorded, so even if you can't make it live you will have access to the replay, which is sent out after the live session.

I'm Ruby McGuire, a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) and former business owner at Rock Your Fabulous Biz, where I was a Master Coach and Mentor. Before that, I served as Head of HR.

I’ve left all that behind to focus on supporting people to reduce stress, ease anxiety, and create connections through Zentangle, an art form offering mindfulness without needing artistic skill. I use Zentangle daily to manage my anxiety, finding it a peaceful escape from life’s hustle.

Over a decade ago, I discovered Zentangle on Pinterest, where it became my sanctuary. It’s a perfect fit for my ‘slow living’ lifestyle. Zentangle has helped me find balance and peace, and now I’m on a mission to share its benefits. It’s a powerful tool for reducing stress, easing anxiety, and creating connections with others, both on and offline. Despite what you think, you can draw—one simple stroke at a time!
