Tanning

Whether you want to start work in the professional beauty sector or you wish to add new treatments to the services you already offer, our GTi accredited short courses offer the quickest and most convenient route to getting qualified. Guild Training International is the training arm of the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists, the UK’s largest trade body and provider of insurance for the professional beauty sector. So with GTi approved members of staff, you really are training with the professionals.

GTi courses combine flexible online learning combined with intensive practical training at college.

This course will run on Friday 03 April 2020 from 9.00am-1pm

(Please report to Canterbury College Reception by 8.45am) Course fees are £60.

During a tanning treatment, the skin is applied with a solution of AHA, which interacts with the skin to cause a flawless tan. This self-tanning is safe and is now the most popular way to tan in the industry.

The course will include an online module, practical demonstration and the chance to perfect your technique. It will cover the consultation, technique, aftercare, homecare, contra-indications and contra-actions.

You will be contacted by the tutor regarding the theory prior to the practical day. All theory module must be completed before attending your practical day, failure to do so will mean that you will be unable to attend the practical day.

On top of your course fee you will need to become a Guild Member (student) which is £25, this is paid to The Beauty Guild and it covers:

• 3 Month membership with the Guild
• Up to date Gazette Magazine
• Access to complete the Professional Standards for Therapist qualification (RRP £58.80)
• If the course is completed before the membership is up, for an additional cost the learner can take out insurance with The Guild (optional)
• If after the 3 months the learner wants to stay a member they can receive a £10 discount to stay a member for the remainder of the year.

If you are already a full paying member of the Guild, you do not need to pay this extra £25.
