#TAPLectures
At The Advocacy Project, we invite renowned national experts to give talks on topical issues. The lectures are open to our staff, service users and partners – and anyone who’s interested and would like to join us. The session includes time for questions and discussion.
What does voice, rights and choice mean for people at the end of life?
Jonathan Ellis, Trustee of The Advocacy Project and Director of Advocacy and Change at Hospice UK will explore how advocacy and a rights based approach can make all the difference for a person at the end of life, and even more so in the midst of the current public health emergency. You will learn how an advocate can support a person to be in control of key decisions when planning end of life support and what best interests really means in those last few days.
Jonathan Ellis is a policy and public affairs professional, with over 20 years experience in health and social care. He is skilled at influencing policy in complex systems, representing the interests of patients and the public, and designing successful campaigns.
The talk will be delivered via a live stream on zoom. Once you have booked your place we will send you the call details.
