Event description

Description

Josef Chromy is a true success story based on hard work, experience and commitment to creating quality wine. Since arriving in Australia as a refugee from Soviet-occupied Czechslovakia, he has been a major proponent on the Tasmanian wine scene. He invested in the state’s fledgling wine industry and has owned and developed some of Tasmania’s leading wineries including Jansz, Heemskerk, Tamar Ridge Wines and what is now known as Bay of Fires

Based at Relbia, just 10 minutes South of Launceston, Josef Chromy ‘s state of the art winery provides a home for some of the best winemaking in the world. This, combined with respect for the delicate varietal flavours of the high quality, cool-climate Tasmanian fruit grown in this unique climate, makes for superbly balanced, elegant wines.

Jeremy Dineen, Chief Winemaker brings to the establishment extensive wine industry experience having competed numerous vintages in Margaret River, McLaren Vale and Mitchelton in the Goulburn Valley.

Jeremy will talk us through five of his prestigeous wines, an opportunity not to be missed.

Tickets are £10 per person, includes tasting of five wines plus light snacks.
