This lovely tour gives a taste of Morocco spending time in Marrakesh as well as some walking in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and an overnight trip to the delightful coastal town of Essaouira. Marrakesh is a fascinating city with the most amazing markets and the famous 'square' that is like being transported to a scene from the Arabian Nights. Toubkal National Park is a beautiful space away from the mayhem of the city. Essaouira is an enchanting contrast to both places with its old fort and fishing connections.
We spend 9 nights and 10 days in Morocco with B&B staying in hotels and riads. There are plenty of different options for eating out, from Moroccan to Western style. The local guide who is with you for the trip will suggest places to eat that are safe and offer cultural insights and you are supported by a guide from Aye Can.
We use a local Moroccan-based company with Scottish connections. They are bonded in Morocco so the trip is guaranteed by them - subject to minimum numbers.
A high level trek also takes place at the same time if you are looking for a challenge or know people who are.
