Description
Green Lab is super excited for the launch of our new project 'Tasty Natives' with Grow Wild and Kew, Royal Botanic Gardens.
Join us for our third event on Saturday 7th July at Green Lab for a series of #openhouse weekenders and tasting British native plants prepared in dishes by our team of local volunteer cooks.
Sign up for a free ticket to attend the event and try a range of cordials, soups and desserts made from native plant species.
The project will be searching the UK for some of our most tasty and edible plant species, from the weird and wonderful to the ones we all know but perhaps needs some inspiration to love. The project is being led by Green Lab resident Ana Jaramillo and will call on help from a host of different volunteers who are keen to contribute their taste buds and conjure up new recipes to showcase the tasy natives they find.
We'll be encouraging people to grow their own native plant species, create their own recipies and contribute to a crowd sourced cook book, with recipes to showcase new found native recipies.
The event is free and family friendly, all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No pets are permitted during the events.
