FOR THE FIRST TIME, CHASE LANE FIREWORK DISPLAYS & EVENTS BRING THEIR TRADEMARK SEASONAL CRAZINESS TO TAUNTON RACECOURSE – IT’S PARTY TIME!!

Welcome, everybody, to a brand new experience at the fabulous Taunton Racecourse, the perfect setting for the biggest party of the season!

Chase Lane Firework Displays & Events (CLFDE) of Gloucester are super-proud to bring one of their incredible family events to this beautiful setting, right in the heart of Somerset. First up, we would like to thank the Taunton Racecourse Board and Operations Team for allowing us to bring this awesome event to this quite stunning venue.

All the usual CLFDE crazy fun will be on offer, culminating with a 12-minute pyro-musical display, choreographed to a mash-up of all the December seasonal favourites, to send everyone home with sackfuls of Yule cheer and goodwill in their hearts!!!

Event Highlights:

🎡FUNFAIR, SWEETS AND TREATS!! - The entire event will be supported by outstanding Angus Pedrick funfairs, whose rides will be open from opening until closing time!! There will be something for everyone here – from smaller rides for our younger guests to the full-on adrenalin-pumping, heart-racing thrills and spills of the much larger rides.

🚐THE XMAS DUBS ARE COMING TO TAUNTON RACECOURSE!! - Check out the crazy crew with their crazy wheels, raising funds for The Grand Appeal (The Bristol Children's Hospital Charity). Please dig deep, deep, deep for this quite brilliant cause!

🌨️ SNOW MACHINES!! – Kids: expect to get showered in “snow” with the snow machines that will be there thanks to Matt Major of Major Entertainments Ltd.

🎵 🎤🎸 ALL NIGHT MUSIC AND SOUNDS!! - Matt will also be providing seasonal sounds throughout the event with his fantastic stage-system. Dance and sing along and bounce about like you really mean it!

📍LASER SHOW!! – This event really is the gift that keeps on giving!! Matt will be lighting up the skies before the firework display, with a 10-minute, seasonal laser show to wow all our guests, young and old! This will start at approximately 6.30pm. WARNING: lasers can have a damaging effect on the eyes, particularly for those people with very sensitive eyes or for those who look directly at them. For those who do, or think they may, suffer from epilepsy, this is a good time to spend 10 minutes looking the other way!

🎆AN UNFORGETTABLE FIREWORK DISPLAY – Stand by for a 12-minute, pyro-musical extravaganza set to a mash-up of all the usual seasonal culprits! This will fire at 7.30pm, after the laser show has finished. For those who feel they do not want to experience the full-force display, there will be plenty of time to retreat to the safety and security of their vehicles (over the road in the car park) after the laser show, or to leave the site altogether.

Please be advised - this is loud, very loud in places. For the very young, we do recommend bringing some form of ear defence (in places, it will feel like we've created the most colourful and amazing thunder!). We want everyone to enjoy themselves, but do understand that some people can be negatively affected by the louder shells when they break at altitude. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take all necessary precautions to protect yourselves, your loved ones and the vulnerable!

🍔FOOD AND DRINK - A large selection of superb food and soft drinks will be available, supplied by Angus.

🚫🥂🍷🍺🚫PLEASE NOTE – THIS IS A DRY EVENT. THERE WILL BE NO ALCOHOL FOR SALE AT ANY OF THE OUTLETS, NOR WILL VISITORS ATTEMPTING TO BRING ALCOHOL IN BE GRANTED ACCESS. VISITORS CAN AND MAY BE SUBJECTED TO BAG SEARCHES BY THE ACCESS CONTROL STAFF. ANY ALCOHOL WILL BE CONFISCATED🚫🥂🍷🍺🚫

🎟️ACCESS/PARKING/TICKETING - TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT ARE AVAILABLE, PRE-BOOKED THROUGH THIS PLATFORM. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST, MOST RECOMMENDED (AND CHEAPEST!) OPTION. THE NATURAL DIFFICULTIES FOR PEDESTRIANS (SEE MORE INFORMATION ON THIS BELOW) MEAN THAT WALKING HERE IS NOT THE WISEST COUSE OF ACTION. HOWEVER, THE GATE STAFF WILL BE EQUIPPED TO TAKE PAYMENTS FROM WALK-INS AND HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO DO SO. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION VERY CAREFULLY...

With 1,000 car parking spaces available, we absolutely recommend car-sharing where at all possible. There are three car parks in the fields opposite the venue, 75% of which is made up of good, solid hard-standing. There will be marshals on site to guide and direct drivers to a suitable parking spot. PLEASE FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS - THEY ARE THERE TO HELP NOT HINDER! RUDE AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS THEM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND OFFENDERS CAN EXPECT TO BE TURNED AWAY!!!

There will be the facility to allow drop-off for taxi/minibus/private car disabled passengers. Whilst we are not in a position to stop guests arriving as pedestrians, we would 100% not recommend this. The lanes approaching the venue are narrow, windy, unlit and do not have pedestrian pavements or safe havens. Again though, for those who live "locally", we totally understand any reluctance to arrive via any other means. PLEASE ensure you have powerful 🔦torches, headtorches 🔆 and/or 🦺Hi-Viz jackets etc. The roads will be very busy with vehicular traffic – see and be seen!

The nearest main road/approach to the venue is from J25 (sign-posted to Weymouth) on the M5, then look for signs to the race course, which will direct drivers down the B3170.

Ticket-pricing summary

Any vehicle: FREE - BUT MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED!! (This is purely an administrative measure to enable the car park control staff and marshals to keep a tally of vehicle numbers arriving and leaving.)

Adult ticket (16 years old and over): £10.00

Child ticket (3 to 15 years old): £6.00

Infant ticket (under 3 years old): FREE

Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children): £30.00

Any on-spec arrivals at the main gate, on the night, WITHOUT PRE-PURCHASED TICKETS, can expect to pay a higher admission fee (price TBC)
