-A Walking Bus is an organised group of walkers, with a set route and leaders, and stops along the way to pick up more walkers. By walking to school together, we can have more fun, be safer and encourage less confident walkers! It’s a chance to start your day with some fresh air and exercise, and walk to school with your friends.
-Adventure Oban are working with Taynuilt Primary School and Active Schools to trial a Walking bus on Fridays - 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th of November. Also provisonally the 5th of December if all going well.
-There are 20 ‘seats’ on the bus, which will be led by two qualified, experienced and friendly ‘drivers’. Spaces will be prioritised for P1-P3 pupils, but all pupils are welcome and if space allows so too are parents and carers.
-The bus will follow a 1 mile route starting at Bonawe Furnace, taking a quiet, safe route to school. The ‘bus’ will start at 8.15am, to arrive at school by 8.50. The bus wll also make the return journey from school back to home.
