Event description

Description

Tchaikovsky's first opera, breathtaking in its music and drama, shatters stereotypes: the heroine professes love first; the hero is more of an anti-hero; and ultimately, the female lead displays strength of will to make a clinching decision that seals the fate of all involved. Lose yourself in this world of relationships between family, lovers, and friends, and the storms that tear them apart.

This production will be presented in period setting in the original Russian (with surtitles) with full orchestra and chorus.
