The Details
Join us for a day of balsam bashing and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We’ll be heading down to Urmston Meadows to manage and remove Himalayan Balsam, an invasive species. This species overcrowds our native woodlands, so we’ll be spending the day pulling balsam.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear – you may want long sleeves/trousers for working among the long vegetation! Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all.
