Gain professional recognition as a TDT Associate.

Teacher Development Trust are offering a limited 20 spaces to existing and aspiring CPD leaders interested in unlocking the secrets of how to develop great teaching in your school. Join David Weston, CEO of TDT, and Bridget Clay, Director of Schools Programmes, for 3 days on 9th November, 6th December (TBC) and 7th March (TBC) for support in designing your school’s 2018/19 CPD plan, based on exclusive content from their upcoming book, to be published by Routledge in early 2018.

Content:

The course will focus on structuring and planning an effective CPD programme. In order to achieve TDT Associate status, you will be supported to create a CPD plan for 2018/9 and demonstrate how it aligns with the DfE CPD Standards and best practice around CPD.

You will receive input around

  • Timing and structure of CPD.
  • Commissioning and engaging with expertise.
  • Creating a framework for evaluation.
  • Designing CPD with impact.
  • Fostering an effective culture for teacher learning.
  • Developing your senior and middle leadership teams.
  • Creating route maps for career development.

Day 1: Introduction to key principles

Participants will explore the research behind effective professional learning and evaluate the quality of their current CPD provision.

Intersession task: Evaluation of current plans and approaches and background research reading.

Day 2: Implementing change

Participants will identify the priorities for their CPD plans. They will explore practical examples of good practice from other schools.

Intersession task: Complete draft 1 for 2018/9 CPD plan . Supported to engage with further theory and visit other schools.

Day 3: Finalising plans

Participants will be supported to finalise their CPD plans and to align them with the DfE CPD Standards

What are the course requirements?

3 days input at our offices in Central London, plus up to 25 hours of self-study. Ongoing online supervision support will be available.

What's the refund policy?

Please note our refund policy prevents us from issuing refunds for cancellations made 7 days before the first day of the course, due to overhead costs incurred to the Teacher Development Trust as a charity.
