Event Details

Among developed countries, the UK has one of the worst rates of educational inequality. We believe your background should not dictate your destiny, and that everybody should have an equal chance to succeed. Our programme places talented people like you in classrooms where you are needed the most to help end this injustice.

Almost a third of the individuals who joined our programme in 2017 came from other careers. We believe their wider experience of life and work makes a vital contribution to our drive to end educational inequality, create greater inclusion in education, and raise standards in the classroom.

Meet with a Teach First recruiter to find out more about our Leadership Development Programme, a world-class opportunity that offers:

 A fully-funded and salaried route into teaching, including an internationally recognised Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Leadership (PGDE), worth double the credits of a PGCE

 Classroom-based training, allowing you to take real responsibility from the outset

 Guaranteed NQT year after gaining QTS at the end of your first year

 Unparalleled career support during and after the programme, which enables our participants to progress quickly in school leadership, education policy, social enterprise and other fields

Please note that although we do have a full range of subjects available nationwide, in the East Midlands region we currently only have places for those wishing to teach Maths, Science, Geography and Modern Foreign Languages.

To find out more about how Teach First can help you move into a fulfilling and challenging career, sign up for one of our coffee appointments today, or contact Charlie Wild on cwild@teachfirst.org.uk for more information.

Please note there are eligibility criteria you will need to meet in order to gain a place on our programme. We strongly advise you check the teaching requirements on our website before you sign up to attend a coffee appointment.
