Event description

Description

Among developed countries, the UK has one of the worst rates of educational inequality. We believe your background should not dictate your destiny, and that everybody should have an equal chance to succeed. Our programme places talented people like you in classrooms where you are needed the most to help end this injustice.

We have limited availability for Geography, Maths, MFL and Science for a 2019 start. If you hold a STEM, Geography, French or Spanish-related degree or A levels (grade B or above), you may be eligible to teach one of these subjects.

Meet with a Teach First recruiter to find out more about how Teach First can help you move into a fulfilling and challenging career. Our fully-funded and salaried routes into teaching offer classroom-based training, allowing you to take real responsibility from the outset. You’ll also benefit from unparalleled career support during and after the programmes, enabling you to progress quickly in school leadership, education policy, social enterprise and other fields.

To find out more, sign up for one of our coffee appointments today, or contact Laura Wilkinson on lwilkinson@teachfirst.org.uk for more information.

Please be aware that:
- English, History and Primary are all full in the North West for 2019, although there is limited availability in other regions for these as well as Computing, DT, Early Years, Music and RE.
- There are eligibility criteria you will need to meet to gain a place on our programme. We strongly advise you check the teaching requirements on our website before you sign up to attend a coffee appointment.
