Event Details

We are now open for applications to train to teach with us in summer 2020. This is the best time to apply as we have full location and subject availabilty.  Applying early also enables more time to prepare for getting into teaching both pragmatically and for subject knowledge.

ABOUT THE MEETING

This meeting is aimed specifically at young professionals and career changers in the South East South Coast of England. It will enable you to find out more about the charity, the structure and benefits of our route into teaching, in an informal manner.

STEM CHALLENGE

You can teach a STEM subject from your A Level or equivalent if grade B or above. Did you know 62% of low-income pupils fail to achieve an A*- C Science GCSE and the UK economy has a shortfall of 40,000 STEM graduates each year? Here is some information on the STEM challenge.

OUR WORLD CLASS PROGRAMME OFFERS

•School-based and salaried programme: Earn a salary from your first day in September and throughout your training, including school holidays

•No fees to pay: fully-funded PGDE: Unlike some other routes, you pay no fees for your training and receive a salary

•Three points of professional support: Support from a subject expert, an in-school mentor and a Teach First mentor, plus the Teach First community

•Training twice-rated outstanding by Ofsted: 99% of our trainees get a grade 1 or 2 QTS ranking

PLACES/ELIGIBILTY

We have Early Years, Primary and Secondary places across England and Wales for our 2020 intake.
