This is an opportunity to find out how you could secure your graduate job before entering your final year at university - and enjoy a free slice of pizza on us.
If you are a penultimate-year student at York, come along to find out about the excellent opportunities offered by our Leadership Development Programme (LDP), a two-year commitment that combines teacher training and a fully-funded PGCE qualification with one-to-one leadership coaching. Learn how you will develop leadership qualities that can be applied to any working environment, no matter where your career takes you afterwards.
We are now taking early applications for our 2017 cohort. Many students at York start their journey with us at this time and submit their application early so they can relax over the summer, before they even start the final year of their degree.
In this presentation you will hear first-hand accounts of what teaching in a Teach First school is like, get details on how to apply for the LDP, and gain an insight into the social injustice that exists in the UK, where the link between low family income and poor educational attainment is greater than in almost any other developed country. You will also hear about ways to get involved with Teach First while you are still at university.
Afterwards you will have the opportunity to speak to members of our graduate recruitment team and to individuals who have already completed the LDP.
