  • Room 1:The Alternative Pathways Map: Careers Beyond the Obvious by Art Meets Culture This session explores the wide range of alternative routes that students can take to build sustainable and fulfilling creative careers outside the traditional university-to-industry pipeline. Drawing on personal experience and real-world examples, Art Meets Culture will present an “Alternative Pathways Map” highlighting five key routes: freelance work, apprenticeships, creative entrepreneurship, community and cultural pathways, and digital-first careers. The session will explore the skills, networks, and resources each pathway requires, and how educators can support students to access and succeed in them. With tools, platforms, and funding sources - from Arts Council DYCP to TikTok and Creative Access - delegates will leave with practical strategies and renewed confidence to guide diverse creative journeys. Further details about the workshop here.
  • Room 2: Power in Participation: Embedding Student Voice for Racial Justice in FE by Leaders Unlocked Led by Leaders Unlocked and youth facilitators, this interactive workshop explores how student participation can drive racial justice in Further Education. The session will spotlight the Student Commission on Racial Justice (SCRJ) - sharing national findings, recommendations, and lived experiences from young people at the forefront of change.Alongside hearing these stories, delegates will explore practical ways to embed student voice and co-design in their settings through hands-on activities, evidence, and group discussion. • Room 4: Holding Space: Lotus making and the practice of inclusion by Alison Lam This lotus-folding session invites delegates to experience learning through a neurodivergent lens—combining sensory making, conversation, and writing secret messages onto paper.
