Event description

Description

Want to deliver art or crafts workshops to the public as part of your core business model but don't know where to start? Or do you already offer workshops but would like to improve them or increase attendance?

In this free, one-day seminar, participants will learn how to plan their first workshop or how to improve an existing workshop; reflect with other practitioners on the methods of successful teaching; devise a marketing and promotion plan to generate interest; and consider how to resource their new venture. Facilitators will share their own knowlege and experience as educators and tutors and invited creative practitioners will share their own stories delivering successful creative workshops around the region.

By the end of the session, participants will have a workshop delivery plan in place. In addition, after the workshop you may have the opportunity to apply for a further six hours of support to help you further develop your approach.

All materials, refreshments, lunch, and parking provided free.

Who is this seminar suitable for?

Any creative practitioner (artist, craftsperson, digital practitioner) interested in delivering (or improving on) arts or crafts workshops as part of their business model.
