Teacher CPD - Behind the Scenes: Twilight Printmaking
This session aims to enrich the classroom practice and creativity of art teachers through working with objects from the Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum collection. This practical workshop will inspire and teach a freestyling and exploratory practice of printmaking using etching inks – showing something and making something.
Karen Stephenson has been working in Amsterdam for five years as an artist and an artist technician in the city printmaking studio (AGA), working with international artists to experiment in the medium of printmaking. This is an opportunity for art teachers who would like to refresh their creative practice, freestyling with paper and inks, on the theme of medicine and science. The session will involve exploring the medical collections on display and in the museum stores, using them as an exploratory resource.
This workshop will suit longstanding and newly qualified teachers.
