    Welcome to the Linking nature and outdoor learning to your curriculum - Brought to you by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust and made available by TARMAC.

    Join us on Mon September 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at our beautiful Head office, Bickley Hall Farm in Malpas, Cheshire.

    This hands-on training day will provide educators with practical skills and ideas for confidently link nature and outdoor learning to your curriculum. Learn how to deliver engaging and enriching sessions for children from EYFS to KS2 about nature and their habitats.

    Purpose and Content:

    • This hands-on training day aims to equip educators with practical skills and creative ideas for teaching about nature and their habitats back in your setting.
    • Participants will learn how to design and deliver effective teaching sessions about nature.
    • The focus is on deepening understanding and inspiring a love for nature and the outdoors in the children they work with.


    What to Expect:

    • A day spent on the nature reserve, engaging in hands-on activities and meaningful discussions about the importance of learning about nature and their habitats.


    What to Bring:

    • Clothing for All Weathers: Since the entire day will be spent outdoors, participants are advised to come prepared with warm gear, waterproofs, and appropriate footwear (wellies or waterproof walking boots).
    • Drinks and Snacks: Staying hydrated and energized is essential, especially with all the fun outdoor activities planned.
    • Lunch: Bring something delicious to enjoy during the midday break.

    Eligibility and Support:

    • This training day is available to educators who teach children - This can be Early Years, Primary or similar.
    • To secure a place, practitioners must demonstrate that they work with children in an educational capacity.
