Description

This day equips current and aspiring school leaders with a good understanding of how you can use a strength-based, solution focused, approach to build the personal and professional resilience and wellbeing of staff in your school or college. The focus of this training is on 'what works' on an individual and whole school level - both essential for teacher wellbeing.

  • Level 1 Training (Adult).

This training and development will enable participants to:​

  • Recognise the common features of schools which foster positive staff wellbeing.

  • Identify what is already working in their school and create a vision for the future.

  • Understand the factors impacting on teacher wellbeing, at an individual and whole school level.

  • Understand how to develop Psychological Capital and PERMA of individual staff through whole school policy and practice.

  • Understand the role of a strengths-based, solution focused approach at a whole school and individual level.

  • Assess their current strengths using the Resilience Doughnut.

  • Create their own action plan by understanding what they are able to change, in order to improve their ability to cope.

  • Recognise and discuss each other's strengths and how to encourage these through solution-focused conversations.

  • Understand how the Resilience Doughnut can enable teachers to to move from surviving to thriving in their personal and professional lives.

  • Recognise aspects of successful leadership during transitional change.

  • Assess their own interactional styles and enable them to move toward leading for integrity.

  • Implement a positive and optimistic culture into their workplace and assist in identifying the personal purpose and meaning they and others have for their work.

  • Learn how we can measure and enhance resilience and wellbeing in the workplace.

This day forms part of our Accreditation Pathway and we recommend at least one participant from a school or college goes on to complete our online accredited Level 1 Training (Adult)
