We are excited to announce that Roger Highfield will be the special guest at February’s Teacher Zone. He will be giving a short talk on ‘The Science of Harry Potter’.
Roger was born in Wales, raised in north London and became the first person to bounce a neutron off a soap bubble. He was the Science Editor of The Daily Telegraph for two decades and the Editor of New Scientist between 2008 and 2011. Today, he is the Director of External Affairs at the Science Museum. Roger has written seven books and had thousands of articles published in newspapers and magazines. For Teacher Zone, with the help of research by Sir John Pendry, he will update his 2003 book, The Science of Harry Potter - How Magic Really Works, which has been translated into many languages and used as a course book in America.
