Degree Apprenticeships are an innovative new qualification that bring together the best of higher and vocational education. In 2017 the UK Government is introducing ‘the apprenticeship levy’ which requires all employers operating in the UK, with a pay bill over £3 million each year, to make an investment in apprenticeships. Therefore the range of Degree Apprenticeships is set to widely increase over the next year.
During this seminar Roxanne Stockwell will address the opportunities that Degree Apprenticeships offer students, teachers, schools and colleges and will discuss the differences between Degrees and Degree Apprenticeships. There will also be discussions on how teachers and advisers can help students choose the most appropriate higher education path, prepare applications and secure a university or apprenticeship place.
