About the course

This CPD session is designed to support primary teachers who are teaching, or aiming to teach, a knowledge-rich religion and philosophy KS3 curriculum, using the Inspiration Trust's approach as an example. The session will focus on the importance of an intelligently sequenced RE curriculum, the crucial role that RE plays within the primary curriculum, the contribution of knowledge-rich RE to cultural literacy and to tackling disadvantage. The session will include practical resources, ideas and examples of how to put this into practice within the primary school setting.

Who should attend?

This session is for primary teachers and RE leads within primary schools.

The tutor

Dr Richard Kueh is subject specialist leader for religion and philosophy at the Inspiration Trust. A qualified RE teacher and former head of department, Richard has shaped his practice in both the state and independent sectors. Most recently, he formed part of the curriculum and pastoral leadership team who launched a new free school in Cambridgeshire.
