In his talk Mr Tremeur Denigot will explain what the EU is doing on green education with a special focus on the Education for Climate and explicate how supporting the green and digital transitions is a priority area of EU political cooperation in the field of education and of the European education area.

Tremeur Denigot will further outline the various initiatives undertaken at European level to encourage and support the education and training sector to act for a greener, more sustainable future, and to develop learners' sustainability skills.He will focus particularly on the importance of building capacity to promote education for the green transition thanks to Education for Climate Coalition, the European participatory community for students, teachers and education stakeholders to act collectively on innovative education solutions for environmental sustainability.


About our speaker, Tremeur Denigot:

Teacher by training and heart in different countries and schooling systems for almost 20 years,
turned into a policy officer for the last 13 years, currently working in Italy as an education expert at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in the Education for Climate Coalition team, to help bring sustainability into teaching and learning and adapt the education systems to the green transition.
