About this Event

A chance to discuss how we teach the children in our setting.

We all know that the children are constantly learning through play; but how much teaching should be “adult led?”

“Teaching is in every activity we provide. There are no activities that occur in the settings which we do not consider to be opportunities for teaching. While we do not always know where these opportunities will present themselves, it is the skill of the adults that enable them to readily recognise the “teachable moments” when they arise and respond to them appropriately”. Do we all agree?

Research has never been clearer – a child’s early education lasts a lifetime. (Ofsted)
