About this event

A 1 day course designed and delivered by The SpLD outreach service and The Science Hub in partnership, for TAs without a science background. This research informed course is a perfect blend of discussion and hands on activities to support teaching assistance in their vital role in secondary science lessons.

Learning outcomes:

To consider role of the teaching assistant in supporting the teacher effectively
To gain strategies to support the needs of a variety of learners in science
To improve confidence in subject knowledge
To have a better understanding of how to support learners during practical work.
