This CPD aims to provide an overview of changes to government legislation regarding safeguarding and e-safety as well as giving teachers practical ideas and lessons they can use to teach online safety. There will be examples from KS1 to KS2 but overall, it will be focused on KS2 objectives.

Louise Ellis

Louise Ellis is a year 5/6 teacher at Glebelands Primary school and qualified as a teacher from Chester University with a BEd. During her time at university, she has taught in all primary year groups and has taught abroad in Belgium as part of a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages. Louise also regularly attends Primary Languages development meetings in Leicester at Rushymead Secondary School. More recently, she has qualified Level 2 Master Teacher providing CPD and curriculum support on computing. She is the computing co-ordinator and has developed the new computing curriculum at Glebelands including planning and progression in computational thinking, algorithm design and debugging, number systems, computer architecture and e-safety.

All materials and resources used on this course will be made available to all delegates after the course.
