Teaching essay-writing for AS level languages
Saturday, 8 November 2014 from 10:30 to 11:30 (GMT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Following more requests for a focus on teaching strategies for A level, Karine Harrington has volunteered to present a free session for us! Here is her title and description:
My top ten A-level activities!
I have been delivering very popular A-level courses on a range of topics on behalf of Keynote and Osiris as open courses and I have also been providing bespoke in-house support and training.
In this webinar I will present a range of activities that have proved to be popular with teachers attending my courses. These activities help support the development of independent learning, speaking skills, grammar skills, writing skills and literature (and more...).
The development of skills is vital in the sixth form classroom and I will exemplified a range of essential skills through engaging and motivating activities. Though my activities will be mainly in French they are transferable to any language. My activities are quick and easy and will save you planning time!
Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday 11th December! If you have attended one of my courses come and say hello!

We are the London branch of the national Association for Language Learning. (ALL) See our website for full details and join the Yahoo mflresources group which we moderate for on-going discussion and sharing.
We organise regular London-based events throughout the year for local members to encourage close and sustainable networking between people. We are inclusive! Although we strongly encourage people to join ALL which supports work done at a national level, our events are open to all those who care about language learning, and we love it when people join us from other parts of the country (or the world!)
Our local events complement events organised at a national level. An enthusiastic and lively committee plans the events as shown by the online diary. Please contact us for further information in any way which suits you best.
