Event description

Description

Technology has been one of the most influential change agents in the 21st century and as teachers, we have a plethora of educational technologies (edtech) to choose from. But how do we choose and use the right tools?

Join us for a series of CPD sessions where we will explore how to choose and use edtech in the classroom. Starting with an opening session from edtech guru, Mark Anderson, we will discuss:

  • How to choose the right tools to use

  • How to choose the tools in line with research-informed pedagogical strategies

  • How to evaluate whether the tools were effective

  • When you should use technology in your classroom

Technology integration in education should always have relevance and purpose. It should fulfil a specific need that cannot be met otherwise, and transform the learning environment. In this event we will explore how to decide why to use technology, what to use and when to use it.

Join us on 9th November in London at 17.00 - 19.30.

Location: University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5LS

Interested in presenting?

We are looking for teachers across the region to run a 3-minute or 7-minute session during the event.

If you would like to share your ideas and knowledge of using edtech in the classroom, please contact Nihal Salah on nihal.salah@uniobyharness.com to submit a presentation.
