Teachmeet Uffculme - #TMUffculme
Tue 27 June 2017, 17:30 – 20:00 BST
An evening to reflect on the year and an opportunity to share those strategies which have worked well in the classroom. Please arrive from 5.00pm and take some time to relax and refresh before we start with an inspiring keynote about what research tells us about how students learn best and how we can implement this into our classroom.
This is no ordinary TeachMeet. With an extended keynote from ‘The Learning Scientists’ #TMUffculme will bring educational research direct to you.
Bringing the latest research on education, the learning scientists focus on the science of learning and how to make learning more accessible to students, teachers, and other educators. Their keynote will explore issues such as….
- How we can motivate students to study
- Research based evidence on effective strategies for independent study and teaching
- Is testing wrong?
This is a unique opportunity to hear from American scientists Dr Yana Weinstein and Dr Megan Smith who are only in the UK for a short time.
