To explore the evidence-based benefits and impact of effective team-based working, and to share practical tools and tips that support the development and sustainability of high-performing, collaborative teams.
Objectives:
- Appreciate the research and data supporting the impact of effective team-based working.
- Explore the core characteristics and foundations of high-functioning, real teams.
- Introduce practical strategies, tools, and techniques to support and strengthen team based working.

Sarah-Jane Dale is Chief Operating Officer at Affina Organisation Development (AOD), a prominent national specialist in team-based working and a part of the Skills for Care group. With a background deeply rooted in, workforce development, and continuous improvement, Sarah-Jane is an accomplished organisation development practitioner with a keen interest in behavioural psychology.
Passionate about increasing awareness of inspirational research and global evidence surrounding team effectiveness, Sarah-Jane continually seeks innovative ways to engage and develop teams. Her work with AOD continues to shape practices in health and social care across the UK.
Sarah Jane’s particular areas of interest are group dynamics and the development of inter-team working and compassionate leadership to increase organisational culture and leadership capability.
