Summary:
Teams go through stages of development. However, teams are in a constant process of change. Leaders who can spot what stage their team is at, and how to help them move towards high performance lead calmly and with stability.
Aim:
- Learn about team development and dynamics.
- Identify your team stages and how to move through them.
- Learn about relationship systems thinking and how each member is accountable for their impact on the team.
- Look beyond the Smart skills like goal setting and balance with human skills.
Objectives:

Outcomes:
A confidence to identify what skills and tools to use with teams depending on what stage the team is operating at, flexing and adapting your leadership for high performance.

Biography
Lucy Barkas is a leadership and team development consultant with over two decades of experience in nurturing talent and cultivating high-performing teams. She does so with energy, passion, and joy. In 2013, she founded 3WH, a consultancy dedicated to empowering leaders to drive positive organisational change through leadership and team coaching. Before coaching and facilitating leaders, Lucy built a successful career in the energy sector, becoming a manager at the age of 23 and eventually leading national and international teams. Her leadership philosophy centers on achieving high performance by engaging, empowering, and developing individuals around a shared vision.
Under Lucy's guidance, 3WH has evolved into a comprehensive leadership and team development company, offering services such as individual coaching, leadership development programs, and team diagnostics. Her clientele primarily comprises leaders and senior teams aiming to operate as cohesive units, deliver organisational objectives, and cultivate healthy, productive cultures. First and foremost she believes in human relationship centred leadership.
In 2020, Lucy authored the Amazon bestseller "LeaderX: 5 Steps for Generation X to Step Up, Take Control, and Lead with Impact," targeting Generation X leaders stepping into pivotal roles. The book introduces her "5 Mys" methodology, guiding leaders to create engaged, cohesive, and empowering teams.
Beyond her consultancy and authorship, Lucy hosts podcasts, “LeaderX," and “Say it Sister”. She is also a regular contributor to BBC radio as a leadership and work expert, has appeared on Sky News, serves as a judge for the Business Book of the Year awards, the BBC Make a Difference Awards.
