Short Course in Team Leading (Units at Level 2) training.

Fully Funded skills training by the European Union Social Fund and delivered by Ixion & the Skills Funding Agency.

3 day course means: (Day 1 of course and then 2 consecutive course Days the following week).

This three day programme will provide your supervisory and first line management staff with the leadership skills to get the most out of their team. We’ll cover the common challenges faced by supervisors, teach everything required to develop more effective team supervision and leadership skills. This course has been designed for anyone in a supervisory or team leader role and is applicable to any industry or sector.

The course will secure you EDEXCEL accredited training in the following units:

  • Manage Personal Performance and development

  • Principles of Team Leading

  • Understanding Business

With the following areas being covered within the 3 units above;

  • Understanding leadership styles in organisations.

  • Characteristics of effective leaders, different leadership styles.

  • Understanding team dynamics; team development and behaviour.

  • Conflict resolution.

  • Work monitoring.

  • Reasons for organisational change & implementing change within a team.

  • Understanding team motivation.

  • Performance measures and models.

We’ll provide qualified trainers, refreshments and lunch together with the expertise and insights required to raise your team leading skills. Gain increased skills, achieve a qualification and allow your team to benefit from improved leadership.

Funded by the European Social Fund and Local Enterprise Partnership, the Skills Funding Agency has awarded the contract to Ixion to deliver this course. It is available to you if

  • You work for or are a company who are based in Greater Cambridge and Peterborough Areas
  • The company has between 10 and 250 employees
  • You or the company employees are aged 16 +
  • You are a UK or EU national and have a right to work in the UK
  • Courses are open to all staff that are required by their organisation to undertake a role related to growing the business and who require further skills development
  • If the above criteria are all met there will be no charge for the course you as the employee or employer
