The opportunity to learn about working in teams and to experience the skills and approaches needed to be effective working with other people. Participants will work in teams to engage in interactive learning activities provided by the Stanway Federation Learning Centre. The activities will be a selection from the Workshops and Learning Programmes provided by the Learning Centre to challenge young people to think and to develop skills in problem solving, communication, decision making, and teamwork. The activities will have a focus on developing character, leadership skills and resilience. Working in a team you will be presented with different challenges to test how you can contribute you skills and expertise to complete the tasks. By participating in the activities you will learn about your strengths as a member of a team and how you might be able to make a more effective contribution as a member of a team in the future.
The challenge will be whether you can do better on the tasks than the young people who have completed these activities at the Learning Centre. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the innovative work of the Stanway Federation Learning Centre to support education in the community by providing enrichment activities and supporting students to overcome barriers to their learning.
