Event description
In this workshop we explore and fix your tech project pain points with the help of long time CTOs and technical founders.

About this Event

Running digital projects is hard, especially if you're a solo founder without a sounding board. In this workshop we explore and fix your tech project pain points with the help of long time CTOs and technical founders.

Ask anything from a seasoned techie!

  • Have you hired developers but can't tell whether they did a good job?
  • Ever needed to answer questions you don't even understand?
  • Did you get started alright, but unsure how to scale up?
  • Don't know how to tell good and bad freelancers apart?
  • Not sure how to break down a project into tasks?

This event is a hands on workshop within a super-small group. Each participant will be able to share their technology headache, and we will work towards a solution together.

Feedback from previous sessions include:

Thank you very much for organising the session yesterday. It was the best I've ever had, after going to many similar events in London. It was the first time I felt completely comfortable to ask any questions, and actually got the opportunity to ask many questions and got serious attentions and answers to every single question. Really appreciate it.

– Mars Bai, London

Core takeaways change from group to group, but you should expect to:

  • Have your biggest pain point solved or have a clear next step
  • Learn how to spot problematic freelancers early on
  • Become a better project manager forever

What can you ask a CTO?

Ask anything about building tech products, digital strategy, hiring developers or managing creative teams. What are you trying to build? Questions such as:

"My website keeps breaking down, how do I put this on Upwork?"

"The developers said it can't be done, is that true?"

"One person wants to use React, the other native iOS, how do I compare these two quotes?"

"My dream is to build a bitcoin payment system for goats, where do I start?"

"Should I hire a full-time designer and copywriter, or outsource these roles altogether?"

"Do I put a fixed price or hourly rate for this project?"

...and many more.

Who are the hosts?

Your hosts for the afternoon are Richard Dancsi and Jaron Schultz.

As entrepreneur or as independent management consultant, Richard worked with household names such as Orange, IBM, Vodafone or the UEFA Champions League. He helped to get founders from zero to one, and helped large companies build and scale: establish workflows and install best practices that put them on the path of sustainable growth.

Jaron comes from a game-design background. He's built augmented reality products as well as R&D teams and startups. He most recently switched on the other side of the table and trained himself programming to become a qualified frontend engineer. He applied the entrepreneur's mindset all the way, focusing on "just in time" information instead of "just in case" knowledge.

The two hosts have lead creative teams, worked on apps, games, websites, animated spots, billboards, or research & development projects. They've built diverse software products across cultures and team structures. Whether it's a fintech startup's app or artificial intelligence, the hosts are ready to meet your challenge!

Can I ask anything else before coming to the event?

Yes please! Just use any of the links in the bio.
