Tech Futures: Existential risk and cybersecurity marketing
Event Information
About this event
According to research released in mid-2021, cyber attacks linked to nation states more than doubled between 2017 and 2020. Similarly, the National Cyber Security Centre’s 2021 annual review highlighted over 750 incidents within the last 12 months – many of which again were linked to national actors – with COVID-19 vaccine IP emerging as a particular target.
Yet even more prevalent than attacks focusing on government bodies or critical infrastructure was an increase in nation state hacks focused on the enterprise - irrespective of sector. With public and private organisations under increasing threat, and with the importance of making the right choice of vendor more critical than ever, how can cybersecurity brands ensure their messages cut through at a time when every player in the marketplace is claiming relevance?
In this webinar, experts from April Six, Microsoft and CompTIA will discuss the current landscape, and how cybersecurity vendors should leverage marketing and communications when their customers are facing an unprecedented assault on their data, finances and reputations. How can they better educate both CISOs and policymakers about emergent threats and potential solutions? And how should vendors craft a differentiated and authoritative brand expression that will demonstrate real value to sensitive national issues and matters of existential business risk?
