Tech Nation and the Disruption of Music
Event Information
Description
Tech City UK has landed in Austin!
We're celebrating the launch of Tech Nation 2016 by showcasing the UK's digital economy to our US counterparts.
We take a look at the impact of the tech industry on the British economy over the last five years, and how it continues to transform a range of traditionally non-digital industries.
Tech Nation 2016 reveals that over half of tech workers are now found outside of digital companies, as other industries are relying on digital for growth.
But is more digital always good or used in the right way? What about the music industry?
At our first SxSW event (at the UK House) we'll be hosting:
- An exciting panel of speakers and thinkers who have been at the heart of this disruption, to discuss the good, the challenges and what the future looks like for tech and music.
- 10 of the UK's finest digital businesses who are transforming the business landscape across a huge range of sectors and will be demonstrating the products they've produced
- DJ set from Mixcloud co-founder, Nico Perez
- Classic British food and drink to meet all your cravings
*We strongly encourage RSVPs for all events at Great Britain House. RSVPs do not guarantee your place at the event. SXSW badge holders will be given priority entry.
