Join us for a deep dive into New York City's startup ecosystem. Meet key people, discover great coworking spaces, hear from entrepreneurs and network with the best of NYC's vibrant startup community.

In three short hours, Tech Connect will take you through the world of startups and the digital economy to really understand how digital technology is transforming industries and society.

Our aim is to help you find your bearings and set you on your way feeling empowered and motivated to make the most of New York's startup ecosystem.

Tech NYC Intro is designed for those with little knowledge of the startup world. If you're wondering what an accelerator is, and why we talk about unicorns, this course is the perfect start on your journey towards grasping the sector.

Corporates, public and private organizations will learn just how these startups are driving innovation and growing to impressive heights.

Introduction to today's program from Halsey Huth, Senior Associate at Tech Connect. We will walk through the day and discuss how to get the most out of your tour of New York's Tech Ecosystem.

WeWork is a 7 year old startup focused on the 'future of work', founded in New York in 2010. Since then, they've grown to 170+ locations around the world and recently raised financing with a $16bn valuation. Grab a coffee and have a look around.

Hear from Ricky Thomas, founder of Avora (

Avora consolidates data from hundreds of sources within an organization, allowing access to users to analyze and act on the information that's important to them. Utilising machine learning, AVORA automatically detects anomalies and trends, alerting users to key changes in business metrics.startup partners, learning about their journey from inception, to raising money from angel investors and VCs, and their vision for the future.

TechHub is the global community for tech product entrepreneurs and startups. Worked with 4000+ tech product companies throughout the past 7 years to help them scale at home and globally. Members get access to a flexible workspace solution, an equity free program (members only workshops and office hours, weekly VC Coffee mornings, access to corporates etc.) and access to our global network and partners (including Google for Entrepreneurs and BT, one of the largest telecom companies in the world) Companies have been acquired by the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Google, Microsoft and most recently Oracle, and have raised over $1B.

Halsey Huth

Halsey is a Senior Associate at Tech Connect, leading the team in product, operations and startup relations. Prior to joining Tech Connect, Halsey was an Analyst at the London-based venture capital firm Seedcamp, investing in pre-seed and seed stage startups across various sectors. He also helped launch a PropTech focused venture capital fund called ConcreteVC, sourcing early stage startup investments in the Real Estate sector. Halsey has also worked as an M&A consultant for Dunkin’ Brands and a product manager for New York-based OppenheimerFunds.

Is there a lot of walking? In total you'll be walking for around five - 10 minutes between buildings. Most locations we visit are wheelchair-accessible, but please let us know of your requirements in advance.

Is tea/coffee included? Absolutely - we want to make sure you're replenished and energised for your session.

Will you refund my ticket if I can't make it? We refund tickets when notified up to 48 hours of the event. If you notify us after that time we'll offer to exchange your tickets for a future tour date.
