Event description
Join us Wednesday 23rd October for a half day business resilience workshop. Or just pop in for a session that matters to you.

About this Event

After previous event success Tech OP are hosting a business focused workshop, this time with a twist.

Working with Bamboo Technology Group we will be bringing IoT, Connectivity, Data, Cyber and Security to life for businesses.

Session overview

9.00am to 9.45am

Session 1 - What is the Dark web and is cyber risk real?

The Tech OP team open the session by taking you to the dark web. Demonstrating the ease at which you can access and procure almost anything and then presenting the building blocks behind the cyber industry you don’t want to believe exists.

10.00am to 11.30am

Session 2 - If I ignore it, how bad can it be?

Datto is a leading managed service provider that believes there is no limit to what small and medium businesses can achieve with the right technology. They will give a real-time demonstration on how malware attacks hit your system and compromise your data. An established Tech OP partner they will share the benefit of their experience.

We are joined by Victoria Brinton, Cyber Protection Officer at Gloucestershire Constabulary who will bring real cases to life and show you the damaging impact it can have.

11.40am to 12.30pm

Session 3 - Prevention is king

We welcome our globetrotting cyber and crypto crime experts Jeremy Samide and Bill Majcher to introduce Zero Day Live from Stealthcare.

Taking time out from their cyber warfare work with MIT they bring their 40+ years experience in cyber security to talk to us about the very real and growing threat to SMEs. Having previously supported clandestine operations for the US Intelligence, Department of Defense, Federal Law Enforcement and allied foreign governments we welcome a wealth of knowledge with some interesting anecdotes.

12.40pm to 1.15pm

Session 4 - Wrapping up with Operational Resilience

In this digitally connected world it's important for businesses to make sure that they have the correct procedures in place, cyber insurance is no different. Stackhouse Poland will be sharing the importance for businesses to invest in cyber insurance.

Lee Hibbert representing the Department for International Trade (DIT) will talk to us briefly about the importance of carrying out a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) as part of your due diligence across your supply chain for domestic and export operations.

1.15pm to 2pm

Lorrin White, Managing Director of Bamboo Technology Group will address some of your most pressing questions before lunch.

With lunch you are free to choose your own area of interest and are invited to join a range of demonstrations covering ;

  • Dark web compromise
  • Lone worker
  • IT Audit
  • Virtual Desktop
  • Facial recognition tests
  • Connectivity, including the remote/temp site Smart HUB solution
