Have you got a pitch event coming up with just a few minutes to win over the judges and secure investment? Then this could be the session you are looking for.
First a little about me: I've been a founder, an angel investor and I've hosted hundreds founder pitches at top venues like Google, Samsung, Stripe and private members clubs across the UK. I've seen the questions judges ask and seen what lands and what doesn't. I've coached hudreds of founders personally and for organisations like Innovate UK, UK UA Tech Bridge.
What will be cover:
1) Stage Craft: Where to stand, how to move, will it be handheld mic, clip on or head mic, how to engage the judges and the audience.
2) Public Speaking: Tempo, cadence, energy.
3) Pitch Narative: Do you cover all the essetials & is it clear, concise and exciting?
4) Reviewing the deck: Length, depth, key content, visuals & aesthetic.
5) Common Questions: What are the judges likely to ask and why? Should the answers already be in your deck?
PLUS
6) Pro Tips:
- The 3 slides everyone gets wrong.
- 4 Key questions to ask your pitch organizer in advance.
- The filler thats killer; are you using this one word that puts investors to sleep?
Normall Session Format:
Introductions - I'll ask you some details about the pitch you are prepareing for. This will help my tailor the advice. We won't talk about your startup to avoid tainting your pitch.
Best Practice - I'll give you some initial pointers to help you with your rehearsal.
Rehearsal - You'll do a live run through against the clock. I'll make notes as we go.
Analysis & Review - We'll go back through your pitch and I'll talk you through my thoughts on where you might be able to improve.
Q&A - Anything we haven't covered or that is still unclear we can cover here.
If you like we can schedule a follow up to rehears the revised edition though most founders find this is not necessary.
