Event description

Description

Local communities, national societies, global regions – we live in a world that faces immense challenges, from our own doorstep, to far-flung countries.

At times, it can feel difficult to know how to help, but in recent years, we’ve seen a growing number of social enterprises and founders use the power of tech to help tackle some of the world’s biggest issues – reducing food poverty, fighting human trafficking, helping refugees, training doctors in war-torn countries... the list is long.

TechHub and Coadec have come together because we want to hear from these inspiring social entrepreneurs – the people who refuse to let challenges pass without action. The people who refuse to believe they can’t make a difference, and who are committed to a new business model that places social enterprise at its heart.

We’ll hear their personal stories, but also the evening will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the ways in which we can all play our part to support social enterprise and build a better world.
