About this event
Do you work in, or are interested in, the creative, digital or tech space?
If yes, this is the perfect place to meet other like-minded individuals in the Swindon & Wiltshire area.
You could be working in tech, running your own business, or interested in tech, maybe thinking about starting a business.
You might just want to hear what people are working on and up for meeting some great people over a drink and a slice or two of pizza
These events are not networking, they are casual, friendly and inclusive – come along to share ideas, not business cards.
Agenda
What makes a great leader – and how do you become one?
Leadership in tech isn’t just about experience or technical mastery. It’s about clarity, adaptability, vision, and the ability to support others through change. But can those qualities be learned? Or are leaders born?
At this special TechConnect event, we’ll explore what it really means to lead in the tech sector – and how leadership is evolving with the times. Whether you're in a senior role, growing a team, or wondering how to step into leadership yourself, this interactive session is packed with ideas and inspiration.
Our speakers:
- Steve Fuller from Bath Spa University shares insights from their new Creative Leadership courses – challenging traditional views of leadership and exploring how creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking intersect.
- Andy Cuff, CEO of CND, talks candidly about his own journey, how he’s built a leadership culture inside a cyber security company, and what it really takes to turn managers into leaders.
- Lucy Paine from techSPARK will guide the session, keeping the conversation open, relevant, and real.
Who should come?
Anyone working in or around tech, innovation, or people management – whether you’re already in a leadership role or simply curious about how leaders are made.
Free to attend, but limited capacity – register now to join the conversation.
We're adding a special TechConnect to the schedule with support from the team at the Digital Mansion to talk all things leadership, and hopefully get to enjoy their lovely garden in the late summer sun!
Doors open at 5.30 - we'll be talking to our panel at 6 and enjoying a slice of two of pizza at 6.45 to wrap up at 7.30
