Description

Do you get a rush when you hear some techie tip and you can't wait to try it out? Have you had the experience of being able to see in a second how useful some new app or gizmo is going to be? So often we get tips and recommendations occasionally, often through random conversations. This online event is an attempt to get the information to you in a more systematic way. We want to provide you with an energising and exciting opportunity to share news and reviews of the tech which you have found most useful in delivering CBT within independent practice.

We'll ask you to complete an online questionnaire before the event and we'll share the (anonymised) results of this with you on the day. We'll also ask you to identify one techie tip, app, or piece of software that you find really helps you in your working life. It might be a little-known add-on from Gmail; a To Do List app; a calendar; an online appointment system; client note-taking tools; online communication tools; email systems; online learning tools; or maybe invoicing software.

This event is designed to meet the needs of CBT practitioners in independent practice who want to explore how technology can help them work more efficiently. However, much of the content will be applicable to anyone running their own business within any health related field. We will be working hard to meet the needs of all participants, from people who are very tech-savvy, to those who aren't but are willing to learn. We hope to run other webinars in due course on apps designed for clients to use as part of their therapy, and on practice and client/patient management software and apps.

The event will start with a brief registration period, during which time we will remind you how Zoom (the platform we use) works, and iron out any last minute technical problems you may be experiencing. The webinar will be highly interactive, and responsive to your input. If you enter the virtual room within thirty minutes of the webinar beginning, you will see an opening screen confirming you are attending a CBT Psychotherapist Briefings event.

FAQs

Who is the target group for this webinar?

This webinar is designed for CBT practitioners working in independent practice, although much of the material will also be of interest to mental health practitioners working in other modalities in an independent practice setting.

What do I need to do before the webinar?

We will be using the Zoom Platform for this event. Once you have registered for this event, you will receive confirmation of your booking from Eventbrite. You will then be emailed an invitation to register for a unique Zoom registration link 3 days before the event, and again 3 hours before the event. Please do not share this link with anyone else as your link will not work properly if you do so. You will also be emailed the link to a brief online questionnaire, inviting you to share your knowledge and experience on the webinar topic.

You can email any questions or requests you may have in advance to the Webinar Host, Adam May: adamatclothhall@gmail.com.

What will happen when I join the webinar?

Please log in a few minutes before the webinar start time of 2pm. You will find yourself in the virtual webinar room. We will briefly remind you how to use Zoom when we start, and give any necessary assistance to anyone experiencing technical problems before formally beginning into the meeting. If you experience any technical difficulties at this time, use the chat option to message Adam, the Webinar Host. If you get stuck and cannot access the webinar, then you can email Adam at adamatclothhall@gmail.com.

You will be able to use the online chat option to message the presenters and the rest of the group. Zoom also allows us to bring your image up on screen along with the presenters, so that you can interact more directly with us. Don't worry, we won't suddenly promote you to an active participant without warning though, and you can always switch off your camera and microphone if you wish.

What happens after the webinar?

We will be directing you to an online survey after this event. Your feedback will be much appreciated. Completion of the survey will trigger us to email you time limited access to a video recording of the event, and a Certificate Of Enrolment.

What happens if I experience technical difficulties?

If you experience technical difficulties which cannot be quickly resolved when accessing the webinar, please notify us immediately within the webinar messaging facility, or by email. We will ask you to disconnect and you will receive a full refund.

What is the refund policy?

No refunds will be made in respect of people making a booking and subsequently finding they are unable to attend the webinar. Refunds will be made in the event of unforseen technical difficulties which prevent the participant from joining or hearing the webinar. In these circumstances, participants should make every effort to contact the webinar provider by email or using the text communication options within Zoom itself during the initial ten minute registration period. This refund policy excludes refunds in respect of technical difficulties with cameras which may stop people from broadcasting their own image or being able to see the webinar presenters.
